Magazine Name Change Survey

As the next step in our quest to move Ever Forward, we are considering a name change for The Triangle.  But we don’t want to take such a drastic step without consulting you, the heart of Sigma Sigma Sigma.  We have placed some suggestions in the below survey, and we would love to hear from you.

One of our favorite titles, as we consulted with marketing experts about how to move our organization Ever Forward, is Essentially Sigma.  We believe this captures the Tri Sigma spirit and sets us apart from other publications that have the same or similar titles to The Triangle.  In addition, many magazine titles have a subtitle, or tagline, that is a descriptor of the purpose of the publication.  We have offered several to go along with Essential Sigma.

Or you can identify your own choices for the magazine or vote to keep the name, The Triangle, the same.

Congressional Hall Visits

Woodstock, VA – February 25, 2008 - Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority announces two Tri Sigmas have been selected to attend the Congressional Hill Visits in Washington, D.C. April 12-16, 2008. Hannah Salter, Alpha Zeta at Northwestern State University and Jamie Collins, Epsilon Omicron at Illinois State University were chosen from over three hundred applicants. Hannah and Jamie will participate in educational sessions and break-out groups on such topics as Standards, Government Affairs and Hazing. Also being discussed is the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act. Part of the student experience will include guest speakers, a tour of the Capitol, White House or other points of interest.

Students enrolled at large, public school campuses with a strong record of leadership experience including: (1) chapter, IFC or Panhellenic Presidents; (2) student government presidents or other major campus organization leaders; (3) significant political experience, such as a Congressional internship or past campaign staff; and/or (4) plans to serve as a traveling consultant for your organization upon graduation were targeted. Students that live in chapter housing (as opposed to university-owned housing) were also considered considering the nature of the legislation we are supporting.
